Joseph Adam Jonas
Joseph Adam Jonas, most commonly known as Joe, was born August 15th 1989 in Case Grande, Arizona. The son of Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas, Joe was born second out of the four brothers and is most known for the immense amount of energy he possesses. Currently, he's front man and lead singer for the popular band The Jonas Brothers, made up of him and two of his brothers, Kevin and Nick Jonas.
Originally, Joe's life plan did not include becoming the lead singer of the Jonas Brothers. "I liked to make people laugh; it was kind of my job." Joe states. From the age of three, Joe had the dream of becoming a comedian or working on the popular Nickelodeon show All That. Joe planned on auditioning for sketch comedy shows, entertaining on TV for the rest of his life. Never, did he imagine singing in a band consisted of two of his siblings. However, it wasn't until later on in his life, when his parents recognized his singing potential, did he express his love for music, especially rock.
Eventually, Joseph decided he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his younger brother, Nicholas, who was at the time performing in Broadway musicals. While attending an audition for Oliver! with Nick, the producers asked jokingly if he had any brothers, being slightly impressed with the amount of talent at such a young age. Honestly, Nick answered saying that he did in fact have a brother named Joseph waiting out in the lobby. Surprised, the producers asked Joe to come in, who at the time was playing a video game while waiting. Liking both his look and personality, they asked Joe to return with Nick the next day, after learning a song from the show. Joe, not too keen on the idea of singing, didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately, in the end, neither Nick nor Joe landed a role, but Joseph did begin to realize how much he loved singing. He landed the next audition, La Boheme, and performed in the chorus for six months. He states, "The experience was pretty amazing. I think it was really preparing me for what I'm doing today. You know, discipline and all that stuff that's needed for what you're doing in the music industry."
However, neither Joe nor Nick knew that while they were starring in Broadway productions, their older brother, Kevin Jonas, was at home teaching himself how to play guitar.
